Proactive Payroll: Filing Issue Prevention

Enhance payroll accuracy and compliance with Check's proactive filing issue prevention approach.

At Check, timely and accurate payroll filings are crucial for employers and their workers. Filing issues, caused by discrepancies or variances in payroll data, can result in costly penalties, interest, or delays in filing. We’ve launched a new proactive approach to help make filings smoother and more reliable.

Our Balancing team works behind the scenes to monitor payroll history, detect potential issues before they block filings, and resolve them swiftly. By identifying variances and correcting payroll data early, we eliminate the last-minute scramble to fix mistakes at filing time.

How It Works

The Balancing tackles critical jobs that keep payroll data compliant:

  • Diagnosing Variances: Spotting discrepancies in payroll data to understand the root cause and urgency.
  • Resolving Issues: Correcting variances in payroll history to prevent filing errors.

With this proactive system, Check isn’t just a payroll processor — we’re a partner in compliance, helping you stay ahead of potential issues so you can file with confidence.

Why It Matters

Our proactive balancing approach optimizes for:

  • Reduced Penalties & Interest: Avoid costs caused by late or incorrect filings.
  • Smooth Filing Processes: Minimize blocked filings because Check takes ownership for your entire year of accurate filings rather than just the payrolls run on us.
  • Compliance Peace of Mind: Employers can operate knowing their filings are accurate, timely, and fully compliant.

What to Expect

Throughout the year, we'll constantly be on the lookout for issues that may trigger issues during filing. Once we find an issue, we'll correct it right away if we have all the information on hand. You can expect an alert once it's resolved letting you know we've already taken care of it.

If additional details from the company are needed to correct the payroll, we’ll reach out with clear next steps to ensure everything stays on track.

Balancing will take care of the tax amounts that are out of balance or may cause a filing error. This does not change ownership of Applied For ID's, correct filing frequencies, and registration. Our Partners are still responsible for working with their customers to ensure Check has the correct tax information.
