Enable gross taxable wages reporting and track 80% state filing progress this quarter.

Gross Taxable Wages on Payroll Reports

You can now access gross taxable wages (wages subject to a tax before pre-tax deductions, irrespective of wage base limits) directly from the Payroll Journal and Payroll Summary report endpoints. This gives your team deeper visibility into taxable compensation breakdowns without any additional computation on your end.

When you pass include_gross_taxable_wages=true as a query parameter, each tax object in the response will include the new gross_taxable_wages field. The change is fully backwards-compatible and existing integrations are unaffected.

Console users can easily pull this data into CSV exports with the new "Include gross taxable wages" checkbox on the Payroll Journal and Payroll Summary report download screens..

Read more in our API docs on the Payroll Journal and Payroll Summary endpoints.

Q1 2026 Filing Update

We're well into filing month and the team is making strong progress. As of April 14th, we've completed 80% of state filings, and federal filings are wrapping up this week.

As always, certain returns filed in a single batch will be completed closer to the due date, including IN SUI and Franklin, PA. Payments that are submitted with the associated filing will continue heading out the door through the end of the month.

As a reminder, you can view the Blocked Filings Report in Console for Q1 2026. Any company whose blockers are resolved 8 business days prior to the due date will be included in our final sweep. Thanks for your continued partnership as we close out Q1!
